The Dept. of Justice (DoJ) wishes to remind school-based employees that they must complete Working with Vulnerable People Registration in readiness for the commencement of the 2017 school year. In order for the relevant checks to be completed, a process that can take many weeks, the DoJ requires that school employees apply for registration by 15th October 2016.
The DoE will pay for the cost of registration for all permanent and fixed term (not relief) staff.

Teachers please note that without Working with Vulnerable People Registration you will not be registered to teach for 2017. Also, the TRB informs us that approximately 7000 teachers need to take additional action in their TRB Online account before the end of 2016 to secure their teacher registration for 2017.
