The in-principle agreement delivers great salary wins for beginning teachers and those at the top of the salary scale, as well as improvements to a host of workplace conditions. All of this was achieved without any reduction in existing conditions.

Schools psychologists with dual registration, and having spent 12 months on B1L12, will be eligible for B1L13.
Assuming the agreement is voted up by members, pay increases, including back pay, will occur in/on pay period 14 June 2017.

In negotiations we raised with the DOE that additional resources would be needed for schools to support them in handling potential increases in teacher registration.
Paid Maternity Leave
In relation to the paid maternity leave, if a teacher was on PML on 7 April 2017 AND IS STILL ON LEAVE they will be able to access the extra 2 weeks. This is consistent with how this has been applied in other agreements, including PSUWA.
