Sixty-five UTAS education students participated in the AEU’s Student Teacher Conferences in Launceston and Hobart during the recent Term break.

The final-year students undertook workshops on writing their teaching CV, interviewing for teaching positions, differentiating the curriculum and participated in Q&A sessions with Principals and New Educators.

Special thanks must go to Troy Roberts (Youngtown – Principal), Julia Rossi (East Launceston), Monique Carter (Lansdowne Crescent – Principal) and Claire Bugg (Huonville High) for providing advice and encouragement to our future educators on the panel.

The feedback from participants was exemplary – watch some short videos here.

At the Conference we also passed 250 student members recruited in 2016 – a record year!

A special mini-conference is also being planned for Burnie in the middle of Term 4. Stay tuned for more details!
