The AEU is pleased to have received positive feedback following the success of the Union’s Reps Conference 2021.
The two-day event, held at Grindelwald in the state’s North, saw around 80 workplace Reps from all corners of Tasmania gather to discuss matters important to public education.
A number of workshops were held throughout the conference with our EBA central to discussions. Topics covered included: wage increase, instructional load, professional learning and permanency.
It was terrific to welcome to the event special guests – Dewayne Everettsmith of Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre and Lynn Jarvis [Working it Out] – for cultural awareness training.
The conference was also the first time newly appointed State Manager Brian Wightman and President David Genford collectively addressed Reps in their new roles.
