The Quality Education for All campaign has officially launched, and what a fantastic few weeks it has been. We have been all over the state, launching the campaign in schools and workplaces, and talking to educators about what providing a quality education means to them.
Last week, our President, Helen, launched the campaign in workplaces on the NW coast. From Smithton to Deloraine, there were great conversations around what we need to deliver quality education for all!
Members signed the pledge, enjoyed our delicious quality education campaign cakes and proudly posed for photo opportunities with our key message posters.
So far, 54 schools and workplaces have held fantastic campaign launch events, and some with fantastically innovative formats.
We met with an independent researcher, Martyn Goddard, who showed us research demonstrating that $51 million dollars of GST funding had been ripped out of Tasmania schools. So don’t let the government tell you there isn’t enough money to fund quality education! Find out more here.
Keep up with the campaign happenings on the website, and the next phase will be the Week of Action, with more details to come.
