On May 27, teachers, principals and support staff were celebrated for the work they do in making a significant difference in the lives of Australian students.
While acknowledging the work of our educators, Public Education Day also serves as a national day to draw attention to the deep inequity in our school funding.
On Public Education Day this year and during the days leading up to May 27, the AEU called on education supporters to add their name to a statement addressed to Federal MPs alongside stories from teachers about the need for change.
Thanks to all who sent in photos of celebrations held at your school for the day.
