Know someone deserving of AEU Life Membership?  You might like to nominate them!

In order to be eligible for AEUs Life Membership a nominee must:

–        Have made a contribution to the affairs of the AEU and/or public education that would be considered outstanding and over and above what might be reasonably expected from involvement in the union while a member of the union and/or

–        Have made a contribution that sets them apart from other valuable contributors and/or;

– Have contributed to AEU in the above manner for a significant number of years and

– Have demonstrated the values held by the AEU.

Nomination Process

The State Manager will issue a call for nominations four (4) months prior to the Branch Council AGM.

Nominations must be received by the AEU Office no later than two (2) months prior to the AGM.

The Nomination Form must be completed in full, with both the support of a proposer and a seconder who are financial members of the Tasmanian Branch of the AEU.

Nominations should be lodged with the AEU State Manager using the Nomination Form along with supporting documentation.

These nominations will be assessed by the AEU staff in relation to their compliance with the proposer and seconder requirements, and eligibility requirements.
