Salary progression
Progression through the salary rates for a Level 1 employee will be by annual increments, having regard to you acquiring skills and professional knowledge and applying these in the workplace over such a period. The skills and professional knowledge will be demonstrated by objective criteria developed through a consultative process between the parties.
TasTAFE may defer or refuse to advance your salary if you do not meet the criteria. If this is the case then you must be notified as soon as possible and you must receive sufficient notice to enable performance improvement. You should also be provided with mentoring, guidance and support to assist you to meet the criteria.
To be eligible for progression to Level 1.7 (Advanced Skills Teacher), you must have completed an approved AQF qualification (Schedule 3) of Level 5 or above.
