The AEU Queer Group exists to support schools in Tasmania to become places where LGBTIQA+ people feel safe and supported – where every family can belong, every teacher can teach, and every student can learn. To create a supportive and inclusive education sector where diversity is celebrated. And to build connection and community while we’re at it.
AEU Queer Group members are proud to stand with our trans community against the rise in anti-trans hate and political activism by the far-right. We have zero tolerance for transphobia in AEU member spaces or wherever it rears its ugly head!
