AEU Reps Training – Hobart
August 15 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Join us for this essential training day for all teachers and support staff Reps in schools, colleges and TAFE, to learn and grow in your role as Workplace Rep.
It will be a full day for New Reps (9am start) and a half day for Experienced Reps (1pm start).
The morning session (New Reps) will be focused on learning key skills to perform the role of Rep as well as developing knowledge about Industrial issues and staff award/agreements.
The afternoon session will be relevant to all Reps and will focus on Log of Claims information and teach you how to engage your members in supporting the bargaining process.
If you’re in DOE we will apply, on your behalf, for relief funding for your school or college. You will still need to discuss your attendance at training with your Principal and organise with them relief staff for your absence. Unfortunately, there is no paid relief for TAFE Reps to attend training. If you require extra relief to cover travelling time please contact Amanda Walker at email@example.com to organise.
You will need to register no later than 2:00pm on 9th August to guarantee relief to be paid to your school. NO LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
