On 12 December, thousands of educators walk off the job for the second time in two months to demand fair pay for support staff, workload relief, and solutions to the growing school violence crisis.
Educators are furious that support staff are heading into Christmas with no pay rise and another year facing weeks of unpaid stand-down – a crisis created by the Government’s refusal to fix an unfair system.
School violence, crushing workloads, and staff burnout continue to escalate, yet the Government has stalled bargaining by sending in a “negotiator” with no authority to agree to meaningful changes.
Premier Rockliff and embattled Minister Jo Palmer continue to play political games while school communities suffer.
