Great training, comradery and leadership experience are just some of the opportunities on offer if you become a workplace Rep.

Reps in schools and colleges are an essential part of being “in union”.

You will form critical links across the membership which enable you and colleagues, working together, to build power and improve your life at work and that of your students.

And you don’t have to take on the role alone, join-up with a colleague and be co-Reps.

Take the challenge now!

Complete an endorsement form to become a DoE Rep and then let your principal know.

Once you become an endorsed Rep you are entitled to five days of union training, with paid relief (not for TasTAFE), each calendar year.

If you are a New Rep you will be offered special training (usually in March) to provide all the information and skills needed to work in union.
