The Australian Electoral Commission’s Post-Election report for our recent Branch Casual Vacancy Election is now available!
AEU Branch President David Genford will be taking recommendations to our Branch Council that the Tasmanian Branch seek to alter our rules to extend the period for responses.
Subject to further consideration we are looking at increasing the period by 1-2 weeks, noting that it currently it takes 2-6 days for letters to be delivered within Australia and the number of AEU members living in regional and remote areas.
