Work with us

Principal Organiser

The Australian Education Union Tasmania wants to hear from Principal members, retired Principals or people with the skills and experience to support and work closely with Principal members across Tasmanian public schools and colleges.

We are recruiting now for a Principal Organiser to provide member support and services state-wide.

This is a 0.4-0.6 FTE (negotiable) Organiser role with responsibility to develop and implement strategies which build union activism amongst Principal and Assistant Principal members, as well as being a contact point for Principals and Assistant Principals for industrial and workplace support.

We’re able to provide some employment flexibility and a secondment may be an option for AEU members, with the fixed term contract beginning as soon as possible, for a minimum 12-months duration.

You’ll receive top-notch training and support, and it’s a great opportunity to assist Principal members and support public education in a new and challenging role.
