As women, we stand to benefit significantly from new union-won entitlements in the latest Teachers Agreement, so it is therefore essential you are across all the details.
That is why we are holding a special AEU Women Member Meeting this month, and we’d love it if you can join.
The meeting will be held 4pm Thursday, May 18 and will be held via Zoom.
Please put it in your calendar now – the link to join the Zoom meeting is via the button below or copy and paste from here: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/6270050707?pwd=djNmdktPY0oyc2Iva2w0aXFBOXc2UT09
The purpose of this gathering is to discuss and provide information on the new leave entitlements relevant to women working in public education and to answer any questions you may have regarding issues we face as women in our workplaces and union.
The focus of the May 18 meeting will be the new leave entitlements that will benefit you.
A secondary meeting, at a later date, will focus on sexual harassment in the workplace. While, a third meeting will look at the prospect of reproductive health and wellbeing leave.
We encourage you and all women members to attend this important meeting as it aims to empower women to take advantage of the new leave entitlements.
We will also hold a Q&A session during the meeting to provide clarity on any concerns you may have.
We hope to see you at the meeting on May 18.
